Job Description

As an Art Outsourcing Supervisor for 2D Animation, you will ensure animated deliveries are received with the best quality, on time, and organised in our project management tools, facilitating communication with internal departments and external vendors.

You will show a talent for efficiency, adaptability and emotional intelligence to problem-solving, always implementing good judgement, with clear decision-making and poise in unexpected situations.

Your quest will involve

• Providing feedback to vendors based on art guidelines, by giving visual and written instructions to ensure clear communication.
• Ensure and facilitate communication with internal teams and external vendors by maintaining a positive relationship between external and internal art teams.
• Identifying potential problems in the art pipeline and work with the Leads and teams to prevent them.
• Generating and providing pertinent documentation to vendors, ensuring compliant documentation, visual reference and examples of art asset production, procedures, and engine requirements to support the external vendors.
• Report to the Art Outsourcing Manager to align on tasks and priorities, collaborate with Outsourcing Producers and Art Leads to understand and communicate the visual goals of the project externally.
• Make sure assets are implemented accurately into our internal Asset Manager, along with making any needed fixes to keep assets up-to-standard and game ready.

Your skills build & XP

• Proficient with Spine with a strong portfolio. 3D animation knowledge is a big plus (Maya, 3d Max)
• High level of English, both written and spoken (all the feedback to the vendors are communicated in English)
• A great understanding of 2D art principles such as colour, anatomy and composition and the ability to apply them in the form of paintovers or written feedback.
• Highly organized, with outstanding attention to detail, process knowledge and ability to multi-task.
• Several years of experience in the gaming industry or similar. Having already supervised external art vendors is a huge plus.
• Experienced with Google Docs, Slides and Sheets is a plus.
