Art Outsourcing Director

About the role:

As the Art Outsourcing Director, you will take a methodical approach to lead the Outsourcing department within our studio and be responsible for ensuring Socialpoint has a successful outsourcing pipeline, with a proactive, analytical and problem-solving approach to all of your tasks.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of talented Art Outsourcing Supervisors and Producers.
  • Ensure a frictionless outsourcing pipeline to keep our teams agile and creative.
  • Identify areas within our games, that can be outsourced.
  • Analyse and negotiate price proposals, contracts and agreements with outsourcing companies.
  • Build a functional relationship with existing outsourcing partners and develop a process to evaluate outsourced activity performance.
  • Design and iterate effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of the internal outsourcing department and our outsourcing partner studios.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Finance, IT, Localisation, etc. in order to support them with suppliers related issues.
  • Periodically evaluate & forecast the AOS department needs in order to lead recruitment actions if needed. 
  • Maintain and scale the AOS department in a flexible and efficient way.

This is you:

  • Experienced working in very dynamic, changing and demanding environment.
  • Highly organised, with outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Clear strategic mindset (focus on prioritisation, efficiency and team/department growth).
  • Prior experience leading an OS client team and/or AOS vendor (as a bonus).
  • Excellent understanding of the game art production pipelines (on 2d, 3d and animation especially).
  • Familiar with Lean and Agile techniques.
  • Able to evaluate, hire and maintain teams  and update project schedules.
  • Experienced with Google Docs, Slides and Sheets, Microsoft Office and Excel, as well as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence. Any other project-tracking and management/database software is welcome. (Wrike is a great bonus).

  • Good professional English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
