Horacio Martos and Andres Bou were officially named Young Entrepreneurs of 2014 last night. Our CEOs picked up their award at the prestigious La Nit ceremony at the Catalan Palau de los Congressos last night. The prize comes from the Catalan Association of Telecommunications Engineers.
The ceremony was a glittering event, bringing together dignitaries from the world of politics and telecommunications. President of the Catalan regional government, Artur Mas, was guest of honor, and Eckert-Mauchly winner, Mateo Valero, who directs the Barcelona Supercomputing Center picked up prize of honor.
We’re on a roll!
The Young Entrepreneurs of the Year prize is the latest accolade to go to our CEOs and to Social Point. Last year Horacio Martos was named one of Spain’s top young CEOs, and Social Point came out in first place in Wired’s top 10 startups in Barcelona. And 2014 is shaping up to be an awesome year for Social Point, as our team continues to grow – there are 185 of us now! – and our games are reaching more than 50 million players all over the world.
Here’s are a couple of snapshots from la Nit, which was covered by national press and media. A proud moment for all of us at Social Point.
