Dragon City was crowned best game on social networks, and Dragon City Mobile best video game at the VI Annual Gamelab Prizes in the Video Game Industry.

The best video game prize was voted by the general public.  And competition was fierce with Dragon City nominated amongst no fewer than 100 of the leading games. A huge vote of thanks goes to every fan that voted for us – your support means everything to the Dragon City team, and all of us at Social Point.

Dragon City also romped home with the Prize for Best Game on Social Network – an award made by the Academy for Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Picking up the prizes on behalf of Social Point were Sergi Velez, Dano Alonso and Richi Carretero (pictured) and the Dragon City Mobile Team. Dano, our  Dragon City iOS Project Manager, says that the public prize is a reflection of the deep affection fans have for the game: “We have a really strong fan base who love the game. It’s based on love for the dragons. And it’s a pleasure to give them the dragons so they can play.”

On a personal note, he says it’s a huge honour to be recognised by the public and the industry: “It’s been a long and challenging year, working hard to grow the game across three platforms. Receiving these awards is a recognition of the hard work, and it’s just lovely.”

Thanks to everyone who voted for us and helped make this year the Year of the Dragon!
